What does a Doula do?
Whether you choose to birth at home or in a hospital, a Doula offers ways to ease pain, calm the mind, and helps you understand what to expect throughout your journey.
Think of it as “belly button and up!”

Help find evidence-based information about different options in pregnancy and childbirth
Encourage the birthing person or their partner to ask questions and verbalize their preferences

Offer praise and encouragement
Support the birthing person’s decision
A Doula DOES NOT:
Perform clinical tasks such as vaginal exams, fetal heart monitoring, etc

Make decisions for the client (medical or otherwise)
Pressure the birthing person into certain choices
Take over the role of the partner
Catch the baby
Perform induced miscarriage procedures

Free Meet & Greet - This complimentary meet & greet is an opportunity for us to connect and see if we feel aligned to walk this journey together, with no obligation to move forward. This is a space for you to ask questions, share your hopes for your birth, and get a sense of how I support families. Partners are warmly encouraged to join.
Prenatal Visit - We will meet twice during pregnancy, in the comfort of your home, to build trust and deepen our connection. These visits are centered around you - your desires, your concerns, and your vision for birth.
Together, we will explore your preferences, labor positions, comfort measures, and ways to help you feel grounded and confident as your due date approaches. My goal is to ensure you feel informed, supported, and prepared - physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Unlimited Phone Support - From the moment our contract is signed through 6 weeks postpartum, I am available to you by call or text. Whether you need reassurance, education, or simply someone to talk through a moment with, I’m here. I believe support doesn’t start at labor - and it doesn’t end when the baby arrives.
On-Call Support - Beginning at 38 weeks, I am on-call for you 24/7 until your baby is born. Day or night, I’m available for early labor check-ins, questions, and guidance as things begin to unfold.
Labor & Birth Support - When you’re ready, I’m there. I provide continuous, hands-on emotional and physical support for you and your partner throughout labor and birth.
This includes comfort measures, positioning support, breathing guidance, and a calm, steady presence as you move through each stage of labor. I walk alongside your care team to help you feel supported, heard, and empowered - no matter how your birth unfolds.
Immediate Postpartum Support - After your baby is born, I will remain with you for 1–2 hours, offering gentle support as you settle into this new moment. This time allows space for grounding, processing, initial feeding support if desired, and ensuring you feel emotionally held before I leave.
Postpartum Visit - We will meet twice in your home, typically around days 3 and 7 postpartum. These visits are a space to reflect on your birth experience, talk through your transition into motherhood, and receive continued emotional support during the early postpartum period.
Plus, the plethora of resources available through my network of being a member of the Doula Co-Op of Nevada. Including but not limited to referrals for massage, chiropractic care, and postpartum doula support.
